Momentus Iron $69.95 Momentus Iron The Momentus Iron is used by more than 100 players on the PGA TOUR. By eliminating the outdated practice of head-weighting, we’ve developed a club that is uniquely balanced and swings effortlessly. The momentum of the evenly weighted shaft swings the club along the correct swing plane as the added weight ingrains the proper feel. The elusive feel for swinging the club “in the slot” is easily maintained with regular use. Improved consistency, flexibility and clubhead speed can be expected. An Instructional DVD is included with the Momentus Iron. The Momentus is a revolutionary new swing trainer that incorporates a patented technology, whereby the clubshaft embodies most of the weight which is evenly distributed throughout the length of the shaft. The reason this is so beneficial in a practice club is because as a golfer swings the Momentus, the evenly weighted shaft generates momentum. The momentum causes the club to swing along a balanced and proper swing plane. Through repetitions with the Momentus swing trainer, a golfer ingrains the feel for swinging the club on-plane. This leads to a drastic improvement in consistency and clubhead speed. The momentum of the shaft swings the club, so a golfer’s muscles are stretched by swinging the trainer. Additional flexibility and strength are benefits also gained from swinging the Momentus. It is an excellent club to use for warming up prior to playing a round of golf. Todd Hamilton’s British Open Victory Two weeks prior to the 2004 British Open at Royal Troon in Scotland, I put the Momentus Swing Trainer into my bag. I had received one from the Momentus Japanese Tour rep, when I was playing on the Japanese Tour, sometime earlier. For the two weeks leading up to the British Open, I carried the Momentus Swing Trainer around with me from tournament to tournament, but I never swung it or used it. It wasn’t until I got to Royal Troon that something amazing started to happen. On the Thursday of the week of the 2004 British Open, I was in the lockerroom and noticed a prominent player swinging his Momentus Swing Trainer. The thought occurred to me that, ‘Hey, I’ve got one of those, maybe I should start swinging it too’. So, I got my Momentus Swing Trainer out of my locker and started swinging it as I practiced out on the driving range. I noticed my ball striking began to significantly improve after using the Momentus Swing Trainer. I continued to swing the Momentus Swing Trainer before I played each day during the British Open Championship. My ball striking got better and better as the week wore on and my confidence in my abilities improved. I swung the Momentus Swing Trainer on the driving range to prepare for the final round before playing in the last group with Ernie Els.
